Well done to Brave The Way winning at Coffs today. Our boy had a temperature and was scratched on Monday. He'll be back for another day...
Saturday's racing, weather permitting looks a crackerjack of a day. In Melbourne there's a guaranteed $1.5 million in the quaddie. In Sydney, a few old faves and hard luck stories are back, back (back!) in winnable races.
But top of the list and thanks to our Twitter friends, pleased to announce that we might have found another one of those Kingdom of Fife/December Draw/Foreteller specials.
LONDON STRIPE (for it is he) runs in race 4 at the world's fairest racecourse this weekend and is currently on offer at $20. Previously trained by Sir Michael Stoute, his last three runs were at Goodwood, Ascot and Newmarket. Even more tellingly, he was nommed for three races on the card, including the Aurie's Star. Add Michelle Payne and an in form trainer and we're on for the ride....The Poms need a win there because Wales are going to smash them at Twickers later on.
He's joint favourite for us with a sentimental favourite MUTAWARATH. We're told he wants it dry but back to 1400 and with plenty of cash still in our pockets from his lovely win at $26 a few weeks ago, we're on him again. Trainer's not going too bad either.
Other horses we are interested in include HOME ON A WING who might well be a non-winner but we thought was unlucky last time, plus old faves ALS MAGIC MISS and MUMSLAD. The last two are a little tight price wise, but as they say, well Tony Brassel does anyway "include them in your multiples".
That's it, thanks for reading. Before I go, another mention for legend Ron Dufficy who respectfully answers all tweets from hopeful punters like me with good grace and more importantly winning tips. And also...how good was FORETELLER? Someone give me a nudge when the prices go up for the Epsom. I'll take $5 now.
Good luck all...
