Didn't think it would be that hard

Pleased for the two boys from Wyong. They both have something very rare in common, in that they have both trained horses for us. Brett Partelle did great things with Xaar Xaar including a slashing win at Scone one day when she flew home so fast Ian Craig literally didn't see her cross the line. To be honest I can't even remember the name of the horse we had with Crusher. Think he only beat one horse home in three runs. Lovely fellas both and good luck to them.

Didn't back either on a day when only Scarf kept us alive. Thankfully, I was nowhere near my ipad when I heard that they were betting $2.80 on Glass Harmonium. Phew. Clearly Permit hasn't taken to the conditions as well as his compatriots, just like Contract Caterer, who we now know really definitely does not like it wet. Not even damp. Love the horse but not sure I'll be risking him again unless its sunscreen weather.

That's racing.

Holiday Monday brings a mixed bag of racing. Honestly it's a mix of bad and awful, but no doubt if it's too wet for golf, I'll be at Randwick trying to read the heavy form.

I like one horse tomorrow and one quinella.

Very suprised that I jost got $9 for Kingdom of War. A good second over the minimum first up and straight into this over 1200 for a fair price. It's a fair way from Caulfield to Brisbane and you'd have to think that Tony Vasil mad this in mind. Blinkers on and drawn 8, we like the price.

And at the risk of sounding cocky and tipping a quinella, two of our favourite horses, largely due to the Topping connection, go head to head tomorrow. WORLD WIDE will start favourite but we really like DANAGAZE to give him a run over both of their favourite trips. With a bit of luck, we'll be running against them both soon...
