Tomorrow's racing might be one of those simple days. One of those days where the winners are obvious and when you buy the paper tomorrow and see they paid $3.50, you'll be wondering why you didn't just back your judgement. Take Randwick for example. I reckon there's a fair chance that Peck, Frozone, Classics will all win.
Classics is one of Snowdens. Enough said. Peck looks like something out of the box. Tomorrows race is totally unsuitable, small field, extra distance and all that. He might nevertheless win by panels. And Frozone? Just look at the quality of race he has been running in up North. Oh and the record of the trainer in bringing horses to Sydney. He's the one I will definitely be on.
Elsewhere M'Lady Pedrille who didn't really come up last time is off a handy mark first up and an even handier price of $8.50. With good group form, she has been seen doing great track work clocking 11.8 in work with Storm Kite. And when you think she is BOBS qualified till the end of the month and this is a BOBS 20k added race, we reckon she might be ready to race!
And finally! Our bet of the day meets all the LMS criteria. Ex UK galloper, trained by Waller, generous price. ESCHOLIDO ran a nice race last week when unfancied, flashing home in the race won by Peck (there's another plus) and has some fair form in the UK over 1600. The $15 that the TAB offered the other day is just daft. The stable tweeted to say that he is overs against these. Apart from the fact that Collett's on Cup of Tea for the same stable (who is top weight after all) we are quietly confident that he might do it again. Very interested to see what jockey gets the ride.
And talking of master trainers, Gold Rating is back in Brissy tomorrow. $8. Are the TAB mad? There is no way on earth that he will start more than $5. Will he win? That's harder to say, but as we've said before, the stable never travels for no reason...Bell stays on and the race is 166 meters shorter. Boots, fill...
We also like Danagaze, Motown Lady, Jess Sar Belle and Lake George. Trouble is they are all in the same race!
