Sunday

not so wet, wet, (wet!)

It happens. Did all the form for a very wet track and it dried up. Guess that's why they call it the Sunny Coast?

Despite Ausworld going down,Had a successful day, watching Woorim outclass them at $6.50, possibly the price of the year, then latched on to the Waller steam train in Sydney. Missed the surfer girl but was tipped into Wazn by the owners on twitter (how good is that) and for some reason I can't explain, doubled him up with Mutawarath. As in a 100/1 double. Even for five bucks, thats happy days...Mutawarath is one of those horses that Ron Dufficy really likes and tips regularly. He has had two runs on dodgy ground this season, so I reckoned that third up, on a sound surface, Waller, Rosehill, $21 was too good to miss?

Anyhow. Duffs on holiday, so I tweeted him to let him know that Muta was running. Even offered to pop something each way on for him. And in a bizarre juxtaposition of fortunes, I got a message back from Duff today thanking me for the tip! Well I certainly owed him one!

I might frame that tweet. Can you frame a tweet?

Yesterdays proved again that the old adage "horses for courses" rings true when weighing up Sydney form. Good horses can probably win mostly everywhere, but how often do horses with good form at Randwick flop when fancied at Rosehill and vice versa? Its understandable that this would happen in Melbourne where the greatest race track in the world shares the Saturday programme wirh the most leader biased track in the world (thats you I'm talking about Caulfield) and the roller coaster that is Mooney Valley.

Any theories on why Randwick and Rosehill would throw up such different formlines? All contributions welcome. Oh and hello to all new viewers and tweeters. Nice to have you on board and thanks for the feedback...
