Last week was a shocker. Particularly disappointed in the ride on Mutawarath on what looked like a leaderish track, not happy to see him last at the turn. But what do I know?
Moving On.
This week sees the release of the entries for Tne Cox Plate and The Caulfield Cup. And a brief review of the two lists shouts one message to me. Imports. Blimmin loads of em...K O FIFE, DEC DRAW, GLASS HARMI, just to name three. For each I'd like to know more about their plans, but I think it's pretty public that at least one of them is after the Caulfield Cup.
Our thoughts today turn to a radio interview with Sydney's best trainer recently and unsurprisingly are about a horse called FORETELLER. Seems that Waller, who clearly still has no idea how good this thing is, has either the Metrop or the Epsom in mind. For me, the Epsom is a really interesting route coanidering it's a classic lead up to 2040m round Mooney Valley?
Would have to have a tilt now at the Epsom/Cox double but in the meantime off to the TAB tomorrow to reinvest some of our winnings on one of our favourite and most exciting horses. Winter form? Not the way he blitzed them last time.
FORETELLER is 100/1 to win the Cox Plate. Entertainingly that is TEN TIMES the price of Whobegotyou who is the current joint favourite. I know who I'd rather be on...
