It's raining in Sydney. And while we are some way from what is called "the west" it looks really likely that contrary to what Glenn Munsie says in Racenet today, the track will be as heavy as a very heavy thing.
We normally like, no strike that, LOVE wet tracks but tomorrow's meeting is a bit uninspiring on the wet trackers front. The Duff is on record as saying it's a no bet meeting. But there is of course no such thing, especially when the golf course is also under water, so here goes.
The mudlarks who Callendar will be calling "swimmers" tomorrow are DELZERA and SHES A ROCK STAR both in the last race...where they come up against RED TRACER who is one from one in the heavy and will start favourite.
Better betting propositions though are our two for the week, WINTER KING and SACRED CHOICE.
Wet track bores like me are coming down from far flung mountain villages to back SACRED CHOICE, the Ian Thorpe, nay Grant Hackett of racing. She won the Doncaster on a sopping wet Randwick. The Group ONE Doncaster. Munsie doesnt think she can win without blinkers and says thats why they went $18. More like they didn't see the wet coming. Even $8 is a great price if she's anything like ready...
WINTER KING is a challenge for us. Because, you see, the Duff is tipping against him. Duff's probably right but he beat Neeson 4 lengths last week when running Rain Affair close at G3 level and that's good form for us...
Double them up. Win. That's the plan...
And if you want an outsider have a look at DELZERA eachway in the last but take the price now. It aint going to stop raining...
Good punting. Hope Munsie is wrong about those blinkers...
*wet wet wet were from Glasgow. But you knew that...
