This horse owes me a few bob, but if you read a few posts down, I said that I had given up hope that we would get value on CONTRACT CATERER ever again after his run with the flashing lights on last week. The Stewards Report says he was held up by The Owl and that's the half of it.
Anyhow, Duff tipped it, everybody saw it and all the value disappeared faster than you can say "My Kingdom of Fife". Or so I thought. In fact, if you'd told me he'd be double nommed with a stable favourite then entered in an average class 6 in Brisbane oved 2040 with ahem J BYRNE on top, well I'd say that $5 was generous. Even though we suspect Byrne cant run time...
PERMIT is $2.45 to win the race that he and CC were entered in. CC is off to Eagle Farm to run against a group of class 6 ers with Byrne riding. He's drawn 7. Heathcote's got a good one in the race and Byrne's riding CC.
CONTRACT CATERER is $17. And almost $5 for the place. Possibly the bet of the year...
Wonder if the bloke who had $100k to win $103k on Black Caviar last week wants to reinvest his $3k winnings?
