Tell me one more time

Jim Byrne is riding again. Lets hope he has realised that being TWO LENGTHS LAST in running makes a race harder to win. It's last chance saloon time, but we have to take the $10 on offer in Doomben. Topweight, CONTRACT CATERER.

Two of our faves are returning. MARDEN was nommed for the meeting that was abandoned this week, a lowly BM 80, he's the same price in a similar race at the Farm. Looks on the short side and its a good race but wont be letting him under my radar.

LONDON STRIPE (remember him) reappears after eight months away at the worlds greatest racecourse. The British Horse Racing Board made him one of the 10 best horses to follow two years ago. Then Lloyd bought him and shipped him out here. He's been unimpressive and eight months away suggests either that they've got him right or that he is troublesome. To compound the misery, he's up for sale in the annual dispersal of Lloyds horses in March. Mind you last year he sold a heap of horses that came out and won, and this years crop includes C'est La Guerre, so it doesnt mean he's useless. I'm more worried that his stablemate FAWKNER is rated by some very good judges as being top drawer. He's $5.50, the Stripe is $17 in from $18.

Guess I'd take double carpet (33/1) but in this race $17 looks slim.

The best racehorse I have ever seen runs again Saturday. She's so good I wont be taking the $61 about TEMPLE OF BOOM. Although if it rains.......

Find winners, enjoy. Only four weeks till Cheltenham and a Grand Slam.
