Sorry about the break. To be honest, the racing has been so abjectly awful over the last few months, I've been on a break. Now I promise this won't deteriorate into a JR style everything is wrong with the industry (Bid Spotter!) but some of the Saturday fields in Sydney have been just awful. Shame our boy's been on a break too, that form against Waller's horse is looking better all the time.
Anyhow. We're back. And unsurprisingly going to bang on about imports again. For those joining us for the first time, I am delighted to say that we tipped My Kingdom of Fife on this blog and took the $151/1 for the biggest single return on a bet ever. In fact, the 40/1 a place came close too, but that's another story.
We went in again the following race at $13 and then again at $6. If only it was that easy. Except it is...Foreteller at $12 at Flemington first up and now of course Award Season a few weeks ago keeps us in Easter eggs.
It's possible that there are a few running around this weekend and we'll be watching both Brehat and Angolaner at Flemington. The dollars will be on Brehat in a tough field.
But following a near miss with Bella Rossie last week, I'm very, very confident about SECESSIO this weekend. Missed the kick last time and ran a race and a half. The blind assessors at the TAB thought $8 was a fair price. It's $5.50 now and absolutely guaranteed to start favourite at 4's or less as the whole tipping world will be all over it. Me and the Duff are on.
For me, he's the new My Kingdom of Fife. Let's hope he's not the new Speed Gifted.
Topping will be back on the track in about 4 weeks. Wait for his first run over 1800...
