Under starters orders...

Great racing this week. After some of the weakest weekend fields I can remember, we're back, back (back!) this week with racing at HQ in Melbourne and Sydney and some of the best fields we've seen.

In Brisbane our boy is having a rest. He'll be back and I'm going to have a chat with the owners of the third, who looks likely to be Grey Assignment as I think we deserve a share of the prize money for not entering. We will be back.

So. The most mouth watering of races tomorrow sees December Draw and Voila Ici in a rematch with good horses like Ethiopia ready to pounce. I think that's a great trifecta by the way and I'll also put those three in the quaddie. Unfortunately it might not be D Day for any of them. But good horses all. Really look forward to hearing the commentators mangling that difficult word ici again this week. As any fule know, it's french for "here" and is pronounced like the word easy but with a short "s". Try saying the letters E C and you've got it. It's not "itchy". Can someone tell them?

Elsewhere, we'll find out how good Stout Hearted is and I have had a very good tip that a top jockey thinks Kontiki Park will run above its form to date. The jockey concerned isnt actually riding him, but hey, that's detail.

Spirit of Boom looks almost a good thing in Melbourne as does Mosheen if a shadow of previous form. My number one blackbooker Fawkner looks a great each way bet in the last. One thing is for sure the track wont be a problem.

Be careful at Randwick. It might still be leadery, in which case Reuben Percival is smokier than one of Sir Smokey Smokestons smokiest things.

Must stop watching Blackadder. Good luck everyone. Dont forget Star Stable. If it helps, I've picked
Pierro, Stout H, DD, Fawkner, Dear Demi, Shoot Out, Happy Trails, Duet, Spirit of Boom and of course Wales. Lets hope it doesnt come second...
