I should have known better than to bet on such a wet track. Won't do that again. Having said, that, WAZN was a real black book run again after a poor start. He'll win again.
This Saturday is another great day of racing. We're still working through the form and have already missed the $6.50 on offer for Free Wheeling. That's a crazy price. Crazy. As is the $3.40 on the UK import, Glass Harmonium, which is in the safe hands this week of the stable jockey. You'd have to think he'd blow this lot away over this distance as long as he doesn't get stirred up beforehand?
So that's our pre race double. The $21 for Cariad looks good as does the $10 for good old Contract Caterer who must be crying out for a run this week.
We'll be wishing Steve Farley well, he did a great job with Xaar Xaar for us a few years ago, but we won't be taking the short price about Sincero from barrier one. Folino maybe?
And as for that staying race at Rosehill...words fail me...
