Is there a better feeling in racing than taking a big price and then watching "them" come from everywhere to back it? We have backed CARIAD at 26/1 with a magnificently big priced double into the wonder horse, up to 2100 for the first time, and have a big smile on the face after seeing CARIAD crunched in to 9/1.
The perils of fixed odds betting summed up in the plunge on Shesahotshot. Backed in from 12/1 to 6/1 midweek. Non runner. Ouch...We're hearing that in the same race Bevan Laming is sending Kar Ma Te for a spell today so the future cups favourite just has to beat Mr Blue Sky or whatever it's called...this could be a very big day, topping all those other big days...you get me?
Elsewhere, have to be interested in HOLLYWEIRD after the stable change. And in Sydney, interested in both of Kav's runners. Don't think they're here for the New Years Eve fireworks.
